   Guwahati College of Architecture came into existence in the year 2006, promoted by DONA FOUNDATION, a registered trust. Initially, the institution started its academic action with a Bachelor of Architecture course, but it shall further introduce Master’s Course in Architecture.
   
   Being the premier institute of North-East region, the institute aims to establish itself as one of the renowned institutions of the country under the able leadership and inspiring guidance of Mr. Abani Das.
   
   The college is approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi and affiliated to Gauhati University.
   
   
   Courses Offerd :
   
   (A) 5 year Degree Course in architecture.
   
   (B) The nomenclature of the degree awarded by Gauhati University is Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch).
   
   (C) Approved by council of architecture.
   
   (D) Approved by Govt. of Assam.
   
   (E) Affiliated to Gauhati University.
   
   (F) The course is of 5 yrs (X semester) duration. Semester I to Semester VI (3 yrs) called as stage I and semester VII to semester X called as stage II.
   
   (G) A student will have to undertake practical training of one semester duration, as a part of curriculum, at semester IX.
   
   (H) Evaluation on credit Grade system.
   
   
   Eligibility
   
   (A) Candidates with minimum 50% marks (45% for reservation category) in aggregate and has passed an examination at the end of 10 + 2 scheme of Senior Schools certificate, examination, HSLC / HSSC / ICSC etc. or equivalent with mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level, shall be eligible, subject to an aptitude test.
   
   (B) Candidates eligible for admission shall have to appear for aptitude test, conducted by Competent Authority or with valid score at AIEEE.
   
   (C) Passed any Govt. recognised diploma.
   
   (D) Aptitude test shall have following weightage:
   Aptitude test 50% (minimum)
   Qualifying exam i.e., 10+2 or equivalent 50% (maximum) or 10+3.
