Age: 17-24 years (27 years for scheduled castes/Tribes) as on Ist December of the years of admission.
Qualification: 12 years Higher Secondary science examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with 50% (40% for Scheduled Castes/Tribes) aggregate marks.

Domicile: Indian nationals, natives and permanent residents of Assam, Candidates should have studied for 2 years in a state institution preceding the date of application.
